11 Feb, 2026 Press Release

InnoSyn B.V. is proud to announce our participation as a co-funder in the HyFINE consortium. HyFINE has been awarded €19.3 million by NWO and the National Growth Fund foundation GroenvermogenNL. With additional contributions from industry partners including InnoSyn and civil-society organisations, the total project value is approximately €24 million.

HyFINE – Green Hydrogen and Electrons for Specialty & Fine Chemicals

HyFINE brings together leading knowledge institutes and industrial partners to increase the sustainability of specialty and fine chemical production. The consortium focuses on replacing fossil-based feedstocks with renewable resources such as biomass and waste, supported by green hydrogen and renewable electricity. This approach enables cleaner and more efficient synthesis routes for specialty and fine chemicals.

Specialty and fine chemicals are essential to the chemical, materials, agro and pharmaceutical industries, yet current production processes are energy-intensive and rely heavily on fossil resources. HyFINE addresses these challenges and contributes to the transition toward more sustainable chemical manufacturing in the Netherlands.

At InnoSyn, we are committed to developing greener, smarter and more sustainable chemical processes. Our involvement in HyFINE reflects our dedication to environmental responsibility and our belief in innovation as a driver of sustainable growth in the Netherlands and across Europe.
