Reduce footprint by going biobased, maintain value by recycling
Biobased feedstocks offer a large variety of (chemical) structures to build on. All chemical intermediates and products can be produced from these feedstocks. Some as (near or full) drop-ins, like succinic or adipic acid, competing on cost. Others as new entities, enabling e.g. better material properties, like modified fatty acids. In the entire biobased domain, we are equipped to finding best routes and to developing them into economically feasible and sustainable processes.
For circular (post-consumer) feedstocks we suitably apply the same approach. Often the feedstock is better defined, 'collects itself', and is well priced. Loops will be closed, e.g. in carpets, furniture. Consumer goods will be manufactured and assembled with an open eye on suitability for recycling. The recyclates should resemble virgin feedstock. We can make it work!

Biobased & Circular Services
InnoSyn develops processes that utilize circular instead of fossil resources: biobased or recycle materials.
Cellulose and Hemicellulose Derivatives:
Conversion of commoditized residues from agricultural crops or forestry (e.g., corn stover, sugarcane bagasse, thinnings) into platform chemicals like furfural, levulinic acid, mTHF, GVL or 5-HMF.
These biobased commodities are further converted to monomers and solvents.
Lignin based Derivatives
Transforming lignin, from biorefineries or pulp and paper industry, into commodities rich in aromates for use in products like resins, adhesives, or specialty products.
Using sugars (glucose, sucrose) or sugar-derived molecules (e.g., bioethanol, glycerol) to produce renewable chemicals.
Depolymerizing and purifying recyclates to monomers or oligomers for recycle materials.
