Flow chemistry is about continuous processing and applying innovative reactor technologies providing improved control over mixing, temperature, and residence time. Key benefits are better quality consistency, higher productivity, faster and more reliable process development, and lower production costs. It allows to access hazardous chemistries, extreme conditions (T, p, t) or apply modular (mobile, configurable) plant concepts (skids).
Our toolbox contains both conventional as well as intensified reactor technologies. If necessary, we can add highly productive separation technologies to the overall processing concept. Over the past 15 years we developed the capability to, design, scale-up, and manufacture fully certified industrial flow reactors by 3D metal-printing. Which allowed us to adapt the reactor to the needs of the specific chemistry.
Our expertise covers lab scale proof of concept experimentation with down-scaled versions of the qualifying reactor technologies. Followed by feasibility study to select (unbiased) the most promising technology. The subsequent development phase optimizes the selected concept and provides the data for robust and reliable scale-up.
