Thank you to everyone who joined us on 21 September 2026 for our webinar, “Selective, Safe and Scalable: Biocatalytic Oxidations Using Oxygen from Lab to Pilot Plant.”

Together with Dr. Martin Schürmann, Principal Scientist in Biocatalysis at InnoSyn B.V., we explored what it takes to move oxygen-driven biocatalytic oxidations from initial proof-of-principle towards practical and scalable processes.

The session followed the development journey from process optimization and enzyme production through to (pilot-)plant implementation, with a closer look at productivity, enzyme loading, product isolation, scale-up and Process Mass Intensity (PMI).

We hope the webinar offered useful perspectives for those working to translate promising biocatalytic chemistry into efficient and industrially relevant processes.
